Anyone with common sense puts two and two together: needles and pain. For a lot of consumers, seeing a tool with tiny needles triggers an automatic response to believe that microneedling is just too painful to be performed consistently.

However, it's quite the opposite. When done properly, microneedling tingles at the most. Gently rolling over the skin only creates micro-punctures in the skin and is essentially painless. That being said, rolling back and forth, overworking the same area until irritated, or pressing too hard onto the skin can alternatively all result in pain.

Properly microneedling is key not only from a pain perspective, but from a results perspective.

We strongly recommend using each roller (any size)no more than 10 times. With each use the dermaroller needles will dull and degenerate, you want the sharpest needles possible for the correct action to stimulate new growth. You might have seen pictures circulating the internet of consumers who've performed microneedling at home, resulting in their skin incredibly red, irritated, and bleeding.

It's important to point out that the consumer has microneedled incorrectly at any time you see content like this. Under no circumstances should you be bleeding, your skin red, or notice excessive irritation. If you do, you're either rolling incorrectly, overworking the skin, or pressing much too hard.

Just like with the gym, it takes time to to see results. You can't expect to lift weights for only a few weeks and achieve the body of your dreams, just like you can't expect to microneedle for the same amount of time and begin to see perfect skin.

Anyone who tries to convince you with a skincare product that provides "immediate" results isn't giving you the whole truth; consistency is priority whether it's anti-aging or brightening, microneedling or acne clearing. All of these things will take some time and everyone's skin responds differently. What might take someone a few weeks to achieve could take you months. Maintain consistency and trust the process.

However, even with the first application you will feel instant glow and tigher skin the following days.
